Well the third day was not spent in South Dakota. We decided to drive to Wyoming and see Devils Tower National Monument. We left the hotel in Rapid City and it took about a 2 and 1/2 hours to get there. The drive to the monument is amazing. You can see the massive volcano tower from miles away standing high is the air all alone. The reddish landscape is a pretty sight. Remember to stop along side the road leading up to the monument so you can take pictures of the pairie dogs in the grasslands. Once we arrived we walked around the base taking loads of pictures. On the way back we stopped and took a lot of pictures of Prairie Dogs along side the road.
Since Devils Tower was only 35 miles away from the Montana border we decided to drive there to say we were in another state.
Then we got back to Rapid City and had dinner at Subway and then when to the Rushmore Mall. Then we went back to the hotel to watch some tv and go to bed after all that driving.
