Yellowstone National Park

This is my travel journal of the Eibner's trip to Yellowstone in July 2002. The following pages depict the wonderful experience we had there. The things expressed within these pages may not be the views of others. In other words it is not endorsed by Yellowstone National Park or the National Park Service. We just wanted to share our experince because we had such a great time.

Yellostone is a National Park and resides in the states of Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana but most of the park lies in Wyoming. Getting to Yellowstone is very easy depending on the season you decide to go. If you go in the summer there are 5 entrances to choose from. I would really recommond arriving at the NorthEast entrance of Yellowstone. This is because there is a scenic byway through the mountains which takes about 3 hours. The scenary is amazing and worth the drive.

I think once in Yellowstone it is easy to divide up which sights you want to see because they are clustered around 6 of 8 major junctions on the Grand Loop. Yellowstone, as a whole, possesses close to 60 percent of the world's geysers.

The major sights to see in Yellowstone are the Calcite Springs, Tower Falls, Mammoth Hot Springs, The Norris Geyser Basin, The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, the Upper and Lower Falls, Old Faithful, and Yellowstone Lake.

I had a few months to plan our trip and decide on which sights we were going to see and in what order. You need to organize and plan to have a smooth and functioning trip because then you have a scence of what you need to still see each day and budget time at each place.

Now on to a Day by Day account of our trip, including pictures!
